The series Evolution begins with the transformation of dust into matter. Using clay, ash, tepetate, and other natural sediments, the artist shapes materials that originate from the earth, giving them a new form. The surfaces retain traces of the process—cracks, textures, and irregularities that reveal the transition from loose material to solid structure.
In these pieces, matter begins as dispersed dust that gradually transforms into solid cubes.
The series also introduces the measurement of 4.5 centimeters, corresponding to the size of the artist’s hand when folded. With this proportion, the cubes are formed manually, without the use of molds, turning the gesture of the hand into the tool that shapes the work.
Evolution also marks the beginning of the artist’s practice, which started with clay and has gradually expanded to incorporate other natural and mineral materials, such as marble and different sediments.

La serie Evolución parte de la transformación del polvo en materia. Utilizando barro, ceniza, tepetate y otros sedimentos naturales, el artista compacta y moldea materiales provenientes de la tierra hasta darles una nueva forma. Las superficies conservan huellas del proceso: grietas, texturas e irregularidades que evidencian la transición de lo suelto a lo sólido.
En estas piezas, la materia comienza como polvo disperso que se transforma gradualmente hasta conformar cubos sólidos.
La serie también introduce la medida de 4.5 centímetros, correspondiente al tamaño de la mano del artista al doblarse. Con esta proporción se forman los cubos manualmente, sin el uso de moldes, convirtiendo el gesto de la mano en la herramienta que da forma a la obra.
Evolución marca además el inicio del proceso artístico del autor, que comenzó trabajando con barro y, con el tiempo, ha incorporado otros materiales minerales y naturales, como mármol y distintos sedimentos.
