In Sediments of Light, the artist explores the relationship between matter, geometry, and time. The works begin with jute or linen fabrics on which geometric forms are drawn using ashes and natural sediments mixed with adhesive, creating textured surfaces that evoke both solidity and fragility.

Each piece incorporates lit candles that activate the work as a temporal process. As the candles burn, wax drips and settles onto the surface, while the smoke can stain and darken the fabric, gradually transforming the composition.

In some pieces, the work also functions as a small altar dedicated to different natural materials—clay, insects, minerals, and other organic elements—integrated as traces of matter and landscape.

The works remain in constant transition, never fully finished, recording the passage of time and the ongoing transformation of matter.

En Sedimentos de luz, el artista explora la relación entre materia, geometría y tiempo. Las obras parten de telas de yute o lino sobre las cuales se trazan formas geométricas utilizando cenizas y sedimentos naturales mezclados con pegamento, generando superficies texturizadas que evocan tanto solidez como fragilidad.

Cada pieza incorpora velas encendidas que activan la obra como un proceso temporal. A medida que se consumen, la cera se derrama y se deposita sobre la superficie, mientras que el humo puede marcar y oscurecer la tela, transformando lentamente la composición.

En algunas piezas, la obra también funciona como un pequeño altar dedicado a distintos materiales naturales —barro, insectos, minerales y otros elementos orgánicos— integrados como vestigios de la materia y del paisaje.

Las obras permanecen así en constante transición, nunca completamente terminadas, registrando el rastro del tiempo y de la transformación de la materia.
